Temple Steps, the ninth track on the new album, Study Break. Having stood in lines several hundred people long to get into events, you hear the muted bass from outside and the volume rises as you make your way into the sound. The excitement from this experience is what I was looking to bring to this track. A mix of a stack of four-four muted, synthetic and tr808 kicks, broken rhythm sequenced vinyl noise and wobbling base, the progression of this techno track takes you from the lineup, through the door and straight onto the dance floor.
