The Waveform Generation's second album "Seven"

Seven represents a journey into learning and mastering my tools and understanding of electronic music. Performed live in studio one afternoon in late 2020 yet composed and prepared over seven years from it's inception, I invite you to have a listen and live your best life.


"Seven" is dedicated to my brother Greg whom I could not love more.


Production Notes: Performed live using the Elektron Octactrack Mk1 loaded with classic breaks and samples produced using Ableton Live, the Arturia Collection, Spectrasonics Omnisphere and sequencing composed in WaveDNA's Liquid Music with compositional inspiration found from Commodore 64 SID music. The main drums are played by the Elektron Analog RYTM mk1 and were designed with combinations of the analog drum sounds in the unit paired with classic Roland drum samples from the Samples from Mars collection. The bass and synth accompaniments are performed on the Elektron Anaolg Four mk1 synthesizer being sequenced by the Pioneer Toraiz Squid performance sequencer. All of the instruments were perfomed live in studio all at 123 bpm within one afternoon and multitrack recorded into Ableton Live with the Allen & Heath ICE16 interface and the Revox B77 Reel to Reel. The stems were kept dry with minimal adjustment to level to balance the mix for mastering.
